Life on the line

The Hanoi street is 500 meters long and the train passes straight through twice a day. Can you imagine someone living in such a street? Where their children play literally on the line, immediately after passing the train (let's not forget the noise too) This street is said to be a unique attraction in Vietnam. Sure it is. Someone will said an extraordinary place to live. What do you say? (picture source: asiatouradvisor.com)

Well, it's only twice a day after all, the subway of Milan makes a lot of noise and the trains pass every 5 minutes.

@LowRiderX Not all streets in Milan are large, the subway pass under some very old streets that are narrow... and near closed waterways, scary!

@LadyDuck Yeah 'only' twice a day I hope the train does not let the sound go through that street. It can be awkward in some situations. Actually, when I think about it ... in most of situations Yes but that is subway of Milan, look at this street how narrow it is And believe it or not, they keep chickens too in this street...

@TiarasOceanView Understandably and why. I only hope that the train does not release the sound as it passes through that street.

looks a bit dangerous to me. Hope they don't have any accidents living too close to that rail track. Scary!

Many poor people live beside railway tracks where a hundred trains pass everyday in some Indian cities. It is amazing how they get used to such a life.

@LowRiderX wow I would never imagine a place such as this! I would be too worried to live in that place or more worried about having children or pets there in case they were on the train tracks at the wrong time.

I have been to Hanoi and heard about this but did not see this train passing through the street. I think people know how to safeguard themselves. I give below a video link - siva
A bite sized chunk of travel inspiration from Hanoi Vietnam. In the middle of Hanoi is a narrow residential street that is literally on the Hanoi to Ho Chi M...
