My Friend Needed Help

On Sunday evening a friend of mine was leaving for his village about 12 kms from our town.The bus that goes to his village had left and so he requested me to take him to the village by my bike.
It was a cloudy evening that was getting dark.I agreed,but told him I would be back at night as I had to go to my office the next day.
There is a small jungle between the town and his village.As we entered the jungle it started raining.We both got drenched.Due to a cloudy night the visibility was low and I was driving slow.
It took us more than an hour to reach the village.Cold wind was making our drenched bodies shiver.My friend prepared tea,but found he had no sugar.So he used a piece of jaggery as sweetener.We enjoyed the tea with buttered chapaties. The taste of the tea was not bad.I enjoyed it.
Then I left for home,this time alone.It was still raining. I crossed the jungle once again.When I reached home,it was going to be 12 at night.
I changed my cloths,visited mylot and fell fast asleep.

I am glad it stopped raining but cold wind is no fun. I know I have been out in it and it really blows my scooter.

@Hannihar Yes, and you might catch cold and fever as well.If cold wind is blowing and you are driving a bike,your body shivers and you are likely to catch cold and fever.

It is nice that you were able to help your friend When friends visit our village we usually drive them back to the train station, because there aren't many busses in my village.

@Shivram59 I am glad that you and your friend didn't get sick. I understand what you mean. I also have that kind of friends. They help me when I need it and I help them as well. It is nice to have a good friend in the same office. My best friend and I don't live in the same part of the country, but we meet when we can and talk on the phone.

@Porcospino He is not my only friend at our workplace.There are many and we all are friends. He is the only friend who meets me every evening.We both understand each other and help each other.His own house is at a village,but he lives in the town in a rented house.

@Porcospino Actually I and my friend work at thr same office.He also helps me when I'm in trouble. So it was my duty to help him.Fortunately neither of us caught cold after getting drenched that night.

That is great of you to help your friend. But I believe that such late night journeys should be avoided as far as possible.
