What do these two pictures have in common?

Not much other than a couple of days in the life of me. The image on the left I took after cleaning off my car last night after work and before leaving the parking lot. It began snowing around eight. We were supposed to get 3-6 inches but so far I don't think it's not much over three and while it is still snowing the flakes are so small it may take a long time to do much more. I should have waited until today to get our recyclable bin from near the road because after exercising at planet fitness yesterday I was going to bring it back by the garage but I fell onto the snow and ice instead. I'm getting to where I may quit worrying about falling because even though I get a bit banged up I've not broken anything yet. Which is really a miracle as it sure looked like my one leg was at a weird angle. But just my ankle was bruised and my right arm is pretty sore but otherwise I'm quite fine. I even was able to work my whole shift yesterday. Had I waited until today the snow would have provided me a bit of traction. Before next winter I plan on finding some type of cleats just in case. My employee stopped by so I had him retrieve the bin from the road for me and he also shoveled the driveway and sidewalk so I won't have to do that later. A few days ago I began doing some exercises during the night when awake that might be helping my back get better faster. I've no idea what to call them but basically I'm clenching my core area including my lower back and abs. The first night I did it all night long each time I woke up. I've been trying to remember every other day to rest the muscles in between. Yesterday, I began doing the two thigh machines again. (The image on the right is the front of one) And, that seemed to help my lower back into the back of the hip area so that neither my back not my hip hurt while walking yesterday which was a major blessing. Now it could be that my falling knocked something back into place but I highly doubt that. I'm currently in the recliner elevating my feet for a bit and getting some mylotting in while we all run for the finish line.

I'm sorry you fell in the snow but glad you weren't seriously hurt. I'm glad your employee was able to retrieve your bin for you and shovel your driveway and walk. I think we got more than they expected. It was 3-6 here but GB they said 4.1. I think we got 6.

I've not looked outside since about four pm so I don't know if more piled up or not. We may sneak in a window account tomorrow depending on whether it's done or not. What's 'GB'?

@just4him we are redoing one job as it was too sunny last week and the water dried before he finished leaving them streaky. We may fit another in too which is much needed since we didn't get there in January. Later I'm getting an exray to rule out a fracture on my ankle which I think is slightly sprained. I can't get in to see my Dr until Tues, but he can decide what is needed once he gets the results.

@amadeo Yes, we do, but this was mostly related to the weather, not just being an 'elder' which now that I'm here I still don't think about related to me. But, I did quit climbing ladders as much as I used to do and things like that where the older you get the more we have balance issues.

I was being careful. I was testing a section of snow and realized it was too form and I might slide right off ago I was trying to stomp down on it to get a firm footing when I feel every which way. From now on when there's ice I'm staying away unless I have no other choice. Thanks for your concern. I think the extra weight is helping me not break any bones although that doesn't always help I know.

Just because you haven't broken anything YET doesn't mean you won't.

I realized that, but in the past five years I've fallen more than I'd like and maybe an angel is looking out for me on that. I do think I sprained it but a light sprain.

I am so sorry about your fall, it is never a good thing when people of our age fall, eventually it may lead to a serious injury.

I've worried about falling for years and finally got to the place that I want worried any longer. That was before I heard the results of this x-ray. I don't want to worry but... My manager wants to bubble me and I would also like to bubble wrap at least my limbs now. Instead I'll have to be more vigilant and not walk on questionable surfaces if there are other options. I

I'm sorry you had a fall Marsha, but I'm glad it wasn't worse. I can't make out what the picture on the right is.

Sorry, it's the front of one of the machines at planet fitness while I was working my thigh muscles. They have quite a few units that work different body parts or muscle groups and they have free weights along with about thirty treadmills and some gliders, bikes of two types and something like a glider

I still have to wait until tomorrow to hear what to do about my ankle. It hurt the most yesterday for some reason. I've been off work since last wed and that's probably helped a lot. What's the circle in the image on the left? Did you see my answer on the first line?

@responsiveme I have an ace wrap on it. And the swelling seems to be gone now.

@MarshaMusselman yes ,I did.I read your answer and searched for something in common. The circular shape as I called it and not exactly a circle are the centres of the glowing lights. light. I really hope your anklegets well soon. Will bandaging with crepe bandage help? It's what is done here.

I'm still waiting to hear from the joint Dr what he thinks I should do regarding my ankle. I don't think it can be that bad since it barely hurts but I also don't want to make it worse by overdoing things.
