The magical store (from my childhood)

My dad used to take me to Smaltz's sporting goods many years ago. I loved the store it had a stuffed bear in the entrance. It had camping gear and all sorts of magical things.
I got a Puma hunting knife there was I was 13,
It had tents and backpacks.
Plus there was a cool counter in the back where you could buy Topo Maps.
I loved that store.
Is there a store like that in your past? Doesn't have to be a sporting goods store, just a place one of your parents took you to, that was magical...

@DocAndersen It had just about everything and if you couldn't find what you wanted, you only had to ask and he'd say I think I have one somewhere and he'd toddle off and find it.

@JudyEv we had a hardware store like that, dad and I would go when seeking a type of bit for the drill or things we didn't have at the time.
