"What's an OUTDOOR classroom?"

The outdoor classroom is where kiddies can go out of the classroom and learn about nature or do outdoor activities. Some teachers are doing this 'outdoor classroom day.' For the reason that kiddies are not seeing around the playground or garden anymore. Personally, I usually do this when still teaching in a Korean school before. Being in and surrounded by nature is wonderful! I Home School my children and we go outdoors often to learn about the beauty around us. =) God is amazing and so is His creation!

It is nice that you involved your kids in learning the beauty of nature. Have you ever tried camping with them, too? I think it is a good idea.

A lot of our schools now have 'gardens' where children grow plants, often vegetables which they later harvest and eat at school.

During my primary school days, we have a subject that we need to do farming in the school's backyard. As the years go by when I visited the school. They don't do this anymore. I felt bad that it was not incorporated this activity.

I hope that teachers around the globe can include this to his or her classes. For some reasons, some kids find boring to be always in the classroom.

It's been done in my former school system for years.

I agree. However, some schools had stopped doing this here. Students can only have this kind of activity if there is a school field trip.

@thelme55 I agree. I was thinking if it is feasible to have summer camps in our country.

I wish I can do that. These students are quite not into gardening. During my school days, we do this.

I agree. Some of the schools are doing this. However, it is not that often. It had changed when the government implements the K12 education system here. I hope they can bring back this activity.

Yes. I feel outdoor classroom should be incorporated. It will help the kids to not only learn but they will deveop skills, know about nature in a better manner, will be more equipped with outdoor and fresh environment and this will help their overall development as well.

I agree. The kids will know certain soft skills in protecting the environment. It is also nice if the summer camp will be popular in my country. We don't have this. Or, if there is, it is not that popular. Do you have this?

@shubhu3 I think some places in my country offer training survival outdoor. It is not common in big cities though.

Our children were homeschooled and when the weather was nice we did most of our schoolwork outside.

That's nice. Is it hard to homeschool the kids? I am curious because I did experience or met someone who homeschooled their kiddies.
