Thanks For The Memory.....

Pamplona, Spain

It happened a long time back for me now. I used to cross the old chainbridge of a dark night with no fear. However when I got to the end of the bridge and took the path to my friends old house I could sense something there. I could not figure what it was exactly. I knew something had happened in that spot. However I knew that it meant no harm to me. I was picturing a monk I believe but knew not whether he had died there or what. Okay so here goes this is not letting me copy and paste third time lucky I suppose. When I mentioned it to my friend she told me about how the Monk had been robbed and murdered there in the 12th Century well more or less. It seems that it was or could have been to do with a dispute of who could or could not fish in the fabulous River Dee. Salmon fishing is still allowed there but not very much. You can see the Salmon jump up River as the Chainbridge is part of the Dee Valley Llangollen North Wales.

When my friend told me about that incident it did worry me a bit going back in the dark past the same spot. But when I saw that nothing happened I forgot about it and went back a few times to her house of a night with no problems.

@dalija I felt sorry for the poor man having ended up like that you know. I felt no fear of him though.

@Nevena83 I suppose so but it was nothing more than that as its a very peaceful place and very badly lighted being in the part of Wales that it is. This is the actual River Dee which I am trying to show on here but I don´t know if you will get to see it.

Is that bridge one you walk over? That's what it looks like to me. Looks like a lovely area. Had you really not known anything about the story work the monk before visiting your friend? I don't see the point of a premonition like that from the past.

It was a sensing more than anything really not premonition although they happen to me without wanting them. The bridge is built of wrought iron and wood really and its very old and the original bridge is long lost. Its not something I want to happen it just happens. Once I went up some stairs and I hit a very cold icy cold spot I don´t ask to feel that again it was not nice to feel it either. The Monk is not an angry or hurtful person he was beautiful and really I think that he is not there just a memory that is that and nothing more.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It sounds like you need a hedge of protection around you when you go out and about. The average person doesn't sense these things and it is not intended to be that way. Some people like noticing things like that. It doesn't really matter whether the monk was kind or not, there's no reason something from the past should be present in the current time period. A lot depends on what you believe and are willing to allow.

That is some sixth sense you have! Amazing. We haven't been to Wales, but saw salmon jumping from a rushing river in Scotland.

Thank you and everyone has that sixth sense we all do and sometimes I am in denial of it although I should not be. Salmon was the main cause of disputes by the people who lived in the Valley of the River Dee at that time and there are still Poachers even now.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I think we all have a bit of that 6th sense. I've had it a few times myself. Too bad about the poachers, but we all like a nice bit of salmon. lol

@DianneN I think its there in al of us its just that its waiting for the chance to come out. Salmon is really nice but now I prefer to see them alive and I have changed as I did so love Salmon.

Yes I was glad that he meant me no harm. I did not feel malice around him at all.

Did you see a shadow of the monk or something (before your friend told you the history)? That is a real fascinating memory!

No I just sensed him but thought it was my imagination at the time. But he was there alright for sure. Poor man had been killed right on the very spot right at the end of the bridge.
