Does Your Computer Keyboard Ever Stutter? Couldn't Nap, so Watched an Old Show

I got my new computer back in December. It came with a mouse and keyboard. I'm pretty sure the same day I got it, I had a problem with it stuttering. At first I thought it was because I wasn't used to having my hands or fingers on a flat keyboard. I honestly, don't know the reason, but I eventually got used to the flatter design and overall I don't have any problems, but here and there when I'm on my desktop computer the keyboard decides it needs to stutter for some reason. I catch most of it as it's happening, but eventually I decided to copy and paste what it was doing to evernote in case I ever wanted to write about it. The examples below were done over several week. It's happened more than this, but I've not saved each instance. When I go back to use the delete button it's as if that sticks as well and it often deletes more than I've intended, so I've discovered the best way to fix it is to right click on it and then click on the correct word I intended to use in the first place. That doesn't work when it's put too many of one letter down, like the last line here with the 'thoughhhhhh, once I get more than two or three extra letters the dictionary hasn't a clue what to do with it and I have no choice but to delete without deleting any of the good words. Thiss was done on myy compppppppputer keyboard Iff sommmething ever happeened wworrldwidde, II''d bbe ablee to build a shelter SSommee thiinggggggs are harderr tto gggiveeeee up than ooothherers II tried to move my foot inwaard just aa bit ago and realized that migght not be a good idea, so itt might have to heal morre than I think even thoughhhhhhhh it doesn't hurtttt much. Oddly enough, this happens anytime throughout my time here mylotting. When it won't quit, I take a break and normally when I return it's fine again. So, even though typing on my desktop is a lot faster than writing with my smartphone, sometimes it's not much faster if I have to spend time deleting extra letters. New Info: I found out from Anna that this is related to a repeat rate windows has on their keyboards. I'm changing the setting to try to eliminate this from happening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I took a break earlier after having a late breakfast and felt fairly tired. But after trying a bit, I couldn't sleep so I looked for a show on Netflix. Not finding the one I wanted, I opted to watch the first episode of Voyager. Wow, that was on back in 2000. And, it was on for seven years. We watched them all back then, but I've not seen them since. My husband walked into the room and looked at it and knew exactly what episode I was watching. I wouldn't have had a clue and was surprised he figured it out that fast. I doubt I will watch them all again. Maybe something else later. We'll see.

Check the keyboard settings, you can set the keyboard repeat rate, slow it down. Here how to do this.

@MarshaMusselman There are some Web pages that modify the keyboard setting. It's weird but it happens, they switch my letters z and y sometimes.

@MarshaMusselman I have worked outside in the garden a couple of hours, I feel tired now, but it's almost dinner time here.

@LadyDuck I've not seen that yet. So far no more stuttering, but I might need to play with the settings more if I see it happening again. For now, I'm moving for a break to the recliner with my smartphone. So, there won't be any stuttering but there may be weird words if I don't remember to catch them all.

I've not seen Shirley Temple movies since I was young. I did see a few of ones done in more recent years but couldn't quite picture it as being her.
