The Domestic Animal Good Samaritan Bill or it is called the "Hot Dog" bill is passed by the lawmakers in Texas would be a positive step to protect Good Samaritans from being sued if they break the window of an auto that has an animal that is trapped inside a hot car by the owner of an auto. The catch is that the Good Samaritan must contact the police to report the incident where an animal that is trapped inside an auto that needs to be rescued to break the window to save the animal. It is a step in the right direction in Texas for Good Samaritans to make their attempts to save animals who are stuck inside their owners autos during the hot summer months without facing a civil lawsuit from an angry owner who can sue for damages by the Good Samaritan to break open a window to save an animal from dying from heat. The police are allowed to break windows to save animals and children who are trapped inside autos at this time.

There had better absolute proof because this law could used an excuse to break in.

We must call the police, they come immediately, nobody can damage a car, they could break pretending there was an animal inside.

As much as love animals, I would prefer to have the police come and break into the cars. There can be a lot of problems with that law, including break-ins, injuries to the one breaking in, etc...

You have a great point there since there could be a false alarm story of an animal inside an auto to have an excuse to break into an auto for a robbery motive.

That's a good thing. I hope it results in a fine for the car owner.

That is true since the owner is responsible for leaving an animal inside his auto.

Sounds good there. Let hope baddies won't use this as an excuse to do bad things.
