This is the Quetzacoatl statue in downtown San Jose.Quetzacoatl is an ancient mayan mythologicla figure.He is a serpent.This statue depicts him coiled at rest.He is the god of wind and wisdom.Some mormons believe quetzacoatl is historically Jesus Christ.According to the Book of Mormon,the resurrected Christ came down from the clouds shortly after his resurrection and visited the people of the Americas,but the details were lost over time.He is not a religious figure among Mormons

That's an interesting story Michelle. One of the most famous and most visited Mayan pyramids is the Pyramid of Kukulkan (also known as El Castillo). The Mayans were located in Southern Mexico and Central America. This impressive structure is located in the ancient city of Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico.

I have been to pyramids in Mexico--not sure if i have been at this one.
