Would you kill someone for an internet signal?

I know this question may seem like something very bizarre (and it actually is) but I saw on the local TV news that a man dissatisfied because his neighbor had turned off the internet signal (wifi) ended up killing him. According to his lawyers, the excuse is that he has serious mental problems. But, if this is really true, would it be reason enough for him not to be judged strictly? because so far he is responding to the process freely.

That sounds shocking and only a mentally sick person can take such extreme step.

@WiseGhots In this day and age, nothing shocks me any more. I was born in 1942 and have seen a lot of things happen in my years.

I have to say that I value my Internet connection only because so much of what I do requires it. But to kill for it? Not hardly. Not me, ever.

If he has so serious mental problems then shouldn't he have been in a institution of some sort? I suppose they'll lock him up now, hopefully with some help for his mental problems, but sadly that's too late for the neighbour.

Not necessarily he has a mental problem, he must be tested with a lie detector.

In my own opinion, most people who commit crimes will claim that they are mentally ill. I hope it is not an alibi
