Since I began this series of favorite songs with "dance" in the title I've repeatedly said favorites would show up time and time again. On this first day of Daylight Savings Time I don't disappoint yet again. Here's a song to help you dance away that hour of sleep you lost. #3: She Can't Dance - Marshall Crenshaw Back when I counted down my favorite debut albums I probably shocked the daylights out of a lot of people by having Marshall Crenshaw's first album as my favorite. I guess it might come as a surprise. Then again, the album is 37 years old and it still commands my undivided attention from start to finish. This bopping ditty opens side two of the album. It's almost a follow-up to the invitation at the close of side one to go "Rockin' Around in NYC." And how could I not love this song? I was "glued to the radio" most of my childhood, too. She Can't Dance Written by Marshall Crenshaw Recorded by Marshall Crenshaw From Marshall Crenshaw, 1982 Right here in New York:
From his 1982 album Marshall Crenshaw.

Crenshaw played Buddy Holly in La Bamba, so he's always had a 50s vibe.

@rebelann -- he's a "cult figure" in music. His biggest hit, such as it was, was "Someday, Someway" in 1982...and it barely hit the top 50.

Some people just can't dance well because of lack of coordination.
