That Kid Has Got A Lot Of Bottle

Photo taken by my dad in about 1968-9, me with a giant beer bottle.

A very old photo of me with a giant beer bottle. I have no idea where my parents found the bottle or what possessed them to pose me with it as a rather uncanny prophesy of my future. The brand of beer is real, though no longer produced so this bottle was probably created as an advertising gimmick of some kind. It is unlikely I or anyone got to drink the ale but quite happy for a rematch if such big bottles full of beer still exist. Arthur Chappell

How funny and neat. I want one or two or three. I know what they were doing. showing how big the bottle was compared to you so people could get the idea. My thought anyway.

@crossbones27 Unless I was only about a foot tall but I doubt that - yes, the photo was probably intended to give a sense of scale

@arthurchappell That and they did think my boy is good looking. Do not be humble. Hell yeah. I do that too when I see younger pictures.

I almost missed this post and this cute photo Arthur. This surely is a big bottle, was it a real one or a fake?

@LadyDuck more than likely a fake - I don't remember the day the photo was taken at all

@WorDazza Sorry I would have replied sooner but I had to ward off a mouse that was dragging me into its hole (that enormous cave) in the skirting boards

@arthurchappell That's possible. After all we've never seen any recent pics of you alongside everyday objects to judge your true size!!

What a little cutie you were!!! My father gave my boys a bottle like that, however it was made into a bank for coins.
