Is it possible to stand up for Palestinian rights and condemn Israeli aggression in the Occupied Territories without being accused of Antisemitism? This would appear to be becoming increasingly difficult.

I think it should be possible, but I agree, it seems to be getting increasingly difficult. IMO another reason why state and religion should always be to different things.

Yes, of course, if we stand for their right to come back. There are many populations who should be mentioned and protected, but we only and always mention Palestinians, I wonder why?

There is the question of the original foundation of Israel, which led to the expulsion of many native Arabs to refugee camps, but there is also the question of the treatment of Palestinians in those territories that Israel occupied after the 1967 war. It is the behavior of the Israelis in the latter situation that is causing most distress. That is why Palestine is at the forefront of concern.

@indexer I think that Armenian should deserve a bit more attention and also the Kurds. Nobody ever moved a finger to say that Native American should be allowed to claim back their land.

@LadyDuck I would agree with you - all the people you mention have been treated appallingly. There can be little doubt that the United States of America was founded on the basis of a massive injustice and the destruction of many innocent lives. Maybe that is one reason why Americans are so supportive of the State of Israel!

I heard an expert in middle east saying, "both the Palestinians and the the Jews should bracket off their sense of victimhood to move forward and embrace forgiveness and reconciliation. Both people have had historical ties to that piece of land in Palestine. Booting out each other from the area will never be an option.
