Apparently turkeys love to sit on trees

I went to visit my dad in the hospital yesterday and saw a lot of turkeys walking around. I wonder why they are gathered specifically in that location. Why by the hospital? They didn't attack me as I walked or run away from me. Guess they are not afraid of humans being close to them. When I was leaving the hospital I decided to pass again by where the turkeys were. There weren't many walking about. I wondered where they went. Then I heard a noise and looked at the trees. There were a lot of turkeys sitting on tree branches and some were flapping their wings. Two big trees had lots of turkeys on them. I had no idea turkeys loved to sit on trees. That's a new discovery to me.

I saw them doing that but here we only have farm turkeys. When I was a little boy, I used to chase them down the hill, I loved to see them flying .

Recently, I saw turkeys crossing a major road. Cars had to slow down and move around so they wouldn't run the turkeys over. One turkey even blocked a left turn only lane, pacing back and forth. The lady in the car had to stop and couldn't proceed further. And she couldn't switch lanes either because cars were going non-stop. Honking at the turkey did nothing. Finally, after a few minutes or so, the turkey moved away and the lady was able to move and make that turn.

@Kasjnak I remember once we had to stop our car because chickens were crossing the road.

@lovebuglena it happens here too, but not because of turkeys, usually there are some ducks that cross the streets . Or sheeps and cows. One day we had to stop because there was a family of wild boars in the street, but that was a long time ago.

@lovebuglena Sometimes I find that dogs try to cross the road but due to heavy traffic, they continue to wait for a long duration to cross the roads.
