I have just read in todays newspaper that there is pressure from our Government on tv stations to stop showing adverts for junk food til after 9pm....which is the time that they have decided children go to bed ! It makes me wonder a few things …. Are they worried that children will put too much pressure on their parents to buy junk food …. will the parents crumble under the pressure …. will they realise that they are the adults and just say NO ! should we have junk food adverts anyway …..!!! surely promoting healthy ...tasty.... food should become the priority ! Should companies be making junk food … ( in the main …) it is full of additives full of fats full of sugar not as nutritious as it could be ….. causes health and fitness problems Yes, everyone can make the decision for themselves as to what to eat ….but maybe the thing to do is to make the correct choices on what to offer in the first place !

I don't like the constant nannying by the government. I'll decide what I want to eat and so should everybody else.

Junk food is not healthy and good but we as consumers we will be the one to adjust our crave for that since we know it is not healthy. For the children we should tell them the advantages and disadvantages for them to put in their mind for their own good.Even if we hide it from them that would not help, remember the more we avoid it the more they crave.

I don't know if I could survive without junk food! haha I have been trying to eat much healthier this year, I have been buying a lot of nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds) to snack on instead of junk food. It has really helped cut down on my calorie intake, and along with all the extra fruit I've been eating, it's really helped me lose some weight!

In NO WAY do I want the government, or anyone else trying to decide what is best for me. Anyway, most of the time they get it wrong anyway. One day eggs are bad for you, the next they are good for you, and yet again another time they are bad for you. Hell, even oranges are bad for you if you eat too many. At the end of the day I say let us just decide for ourselves what we want to do, what we want to eat, and how we want to do it and eat it.
