Where do you put the grease?

I used to put the leftover grease from cooking in an old jar that had a lid, so when it was full I could take it to the trash.
I am not the one in the household that cooks with a lot of grease, so I lined up about 4 jars behind this sheet pan I was using as a splater guard along the side of the stove to prevent grease from splattering on the counter and stuff that was sitting on it
My daughter said that I needed to throw them out, she was tired of looking at them. Now they have a glass bowl sitting on the counter........ open!........ that they pour grease into.

put it in a jar,let it congeal then cover and throw out.

I throw it down the sink and then soak the pots with dishwashing liquid before rinsing.
