On 21 March, we would have our colorful festival of Holi. On this day, people apply (or play with) colors on each other, meet others and exchange greetings and sweets. It is said that even bitter enemies do not fight on this day, and may even shake hands. There are prayers and rituals too performed on this day.

sounds so cool, this festival. Anyone does facepainting on others? (just curious, that's all. I would be very uncomfortable if anyone did that to me. )

@YrNemo some people just use dry colors. But others play it very badly- with more tough to remove colors.

@YrNemo yes and as today is Holi, I am not venturing outside during the day time lest someone in fun or in a not so fun way might throw colors or throw colored water balloons.

I can't believe it is twelve months since I was reading about the last Holi. Do they only have one a year?

@JudyEv yes this is once a year. It normally comes in March- sometimes early in the March or sometimes late in March. For e.g- It is today 21 March this year and it was early - around 3rd March last year.
