Disposing of a body is hard work!

Especially if it has taken a beating already. Let me clarify before you start googling which institution to alert about mylotters who confess to crimes. I've not murdered anyone. I don't have the heart for it, nor the stomach. Not that I harbor any hatred for anyone anyhow. Or any passion enough to warrant a murder. No, I'm referring to the book I am reading. Sarah Waters paints a pretty passionate portrait of how to get rid of a body. Especially if it's two women doing the lifting, and one of them is not only scrawny, but recently recovered from an.. Well I won't say. Anyway, this is just my way of saying the book I am reading is getting rather good. Have you read or watched a scene similar to this? What did you think of it?

Seeing scenes even if it is a recreation of dumping a deceased body is enough to make me turn off the television.

It's not for everybody I know. Not that I would actively seek out something like this, but I'd probably watch it through unless it got too gruesome.

I have seen this in movies many times. Unfortunately something happened here a few years ago. The crazy guy loaded the body in his car trunk and crossed the border to get rid of the body. Horrible!

That's horrible! Of course we hear about people trying to dump bodies and getting caught. I'm glad they get caught of course, but it's so horrible to hear about as well.

@LadyDuck All these crime dramas that find bodies in different ways ... They aren't pulling these ideas out of a hat, it's based off of real occurrences. Makes you feel sick.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is disturbing, especially when you read about horrible ways to get rid of a corpse.

Having written mysteries myself and being somewhat of a mystery buff I can say that statement is true! Your current read sounds intriguing may have to put it on My tbr list!

It's called The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters if you want to look it up. It does take quite a long time to get to the part I am on. Some people who have read this complained about how long it takes to get to the action. I'll be reading more from it today.

I can't say that I've ever watched someone trying to get rid of a body. Not for real, anyhow.

I would be terrified if I ever did. I'd be running the other way as fast as possible.

@SophiaMorros I don't associate myself with people I think would ever kill someone, but then you never know. I came across a KKK gathering in the woods as a girl once. I turned around and booked it.

That books sounds pretty good. I can't handle books that are graphic about child or animal abuse though. There are a few on kindle like that..and plenty of the people who wrote reviews were significantly grossed out and disturbed, that I knew it was not for me.

I don't read anything if it has to do with either of those things. I once started reading a book, can't even remember what it was called, but I put it down and never went back to it. The second chapter in and it was recounting the abuse of a child. I think it was written in the perspective of the child, which made me feel that much more sad.

Oh there's a quote I've heard once. Something about "Don't make me mad, I watch a lot of crime dramas."
