Nick Baynes who is nicknamed "Nic Da Barber" in the Cincinnati neighborhood called West End has this program where young children who enter his barbershop get paid money for getting A's at school for using their skills as excellent readers. It is a great idea for Nick and his crew to use books for children to read out loud inside his barbershop so they can learn to use their reading skills to good use when they become adults. The barbershop is getting donations from concerned people in the area so the kid customers can learn reading skills while developing life lessons from Nick and his crew of barbers.

Reading a book is so much fun that all of us can see what is really happening to the characters in the story.

It would be great if more adults did things for children!

You have a great point GreatMartin that the parents should encourage their children to read.

I like the idea that Nick is using to get the kids out of trouble and being successful in life with the reading program.

That's awesome! It's also a good use of the child's time as he's getting his hair cut.

That is what I like about Nick Baynes and his crew. Use the power of learning how to read so that the kids will be motivated to be better students in school.

My pleasure to share stories that hardly make it to the news evening stories except for the tail end.
