In my city the food is usually light and it is not spicy. It is no problem for me to have spicy food and sometimes I enjoy having it. But here many people think that spicy food is not good for the health. I heard something opposite via the net and it said that the spicy food can lower the possibility to have cancer. I don't know whether it is true or not. I just think it mainly depends on our gene as some people are still very healthy even if they have unhealthy diet habit.

I agree. That's why I sprinkle (liberally) almost all my food with cayenne pepper, raw chilies in soups, cayenne pepper on popcorn and ice cream. Not only that, but because I enjoy hot and spicy food to my taste. This findings look hopeful and inspiring. Why not?
If you're a fan of spicy foods, you're in luck: Research from the University of Vermont indicates that consuming red chili peppers may just help you live longer. It may not always feel like you're going to live longer after you've consumed a very spicy mea

@youless It was an accident. When I tasted it, I liked it from then on. Or maybe, that's the birth of craziness--side effects of hot and spicy. :-D

Spicy food is good for you. Especially if it has turmeric in it. I enjoy it..although there is a limit!

It is not at all proven that this is true, for the moment the studies have not shown consistent proves that this is true.
