~Gifts From Pebbles The Cat~

Good morning everyone! I hope you are doing well this morning. It's a lovely day that God has blessed us with-His love is deeper than any love we could ever imagine!! He loves us so much that He sent His ONLY Son to die for YOU and Me! So, @JohnRoberts reminded me of something that happened to me yesterday with his cat post this morning. I don't know if all cats bring gifts to their family BUT sweet Pebbles does. He goes outside to use the bathroom, then comes inside any other time. I keep telling him what kind of gifts I would prefer-such as candles, perfume, etc... Where he comes up with this idea I would love a dead rat or frog is BEYOND me! Maybe because I said perfume he thought I meant something smelly? Which would explain the gifts he brings to my door. Does your cat bring you gifts as well? What is it usually that they bring? Anything good? If you need prayers, I am always here to do that for you! Image by For God's Glory Photography

I've heard from many cat owners that their cats love to bring them mice as presents. I think the reasoning behind it is to show their human they have taken care of the property in keeping it free from mice and rats and other animals that invade their territory. Have a blessed day.

@just4him That definitely could be the reason! I still don't like his gifts. Lol. But I love him and he's so sweet to think of us!

Yes my kittens chase other cats out of our yard. It took me awhile to let them understand that the cat next door can come into our yard. Then now only let him in our yard. I give him treats he is such a good cat.

@snowy22315 My cat may be strange because he only goes outside to use the bathroom, then comes inside. Lol. He was a stray when we adopted him so we just kept him going outside.

We usually find partially eaten mice around the yard or in the garage. Yesterday, hé appeared at the patio door with a big fat mouse in his mouth. He expected me to open the door and let him in. First time he has come to show me his treasure.

my cats back when i owned them (or they owned me) brought things like that and one we had for 6 yrs a siamese used to bring me birds. often still alive and chase them in front of me after she dragged it in uugghh I put a bell on her. finally realizing thats why people did that. When i had my house, my dogs brought me lizards.

I read about this cats bringing home especially food, well their food, is because they love their humans so much they want to give to them valuable, well, their valuable food to show their fondness to you like you're their family they care for so they bring gifts to you.

Buttercup brought me a big beetle and I told my husband to get it. It ran under the couch and he sweep it up in a dustpan and threw it outside.

I hope that he leaves your "gifts" for you outside of the door. I think it must be Pebble's way of telling you what he was doing while he was outside. And that IS a good thing I think, better that Pebbles found it and dealt with it then one of the little ones or even you. That @JohnRoberts really likes to keep us on our toes, doesn't he?
