Do you look down on people with tattoos? Do you think they have thrown their working life away just because they have tattoos? I think this is a generational question. If you grew up with the dream to get a corporate job , and remain there for 20 years, I have a feeling you look down on tattoos. But if you were told from the beginning that you can do Anything, your life is truly your own , then tattoos are ok , a personal choice. If you colud see my I.D. , you would assume I am in group one but.... I am in group 2! Plus i Do have a tattoo. I remember a friend , who is an accountant, when he saw my tat said I wouldn't get a corporate job! I said I don't want one! I rather be poorer and happy than have a high paying job and not be able to do what I really want, have my tat. See it took 7 years to get my tat. I finally got it , in the color I wanted, blue, and in the correct location, my left inner arm.It wasn't a peer pressure decision. It is a statement of who I am. These days many people under 35 have ink. To think any company would dismiss this mass work force just because of ink is Crazy and sad. It means there maybe more openings than the company can live with. What are your thoughts.

I don't have a tattoo but the majority of people I know do have them. Things have changed over the years I think, back some time ago tattoos were looked down on and it did impact job prospects but now it is different...depending on where the tatto is and what it is. I think any tats on the face are not a good idea

I have several tattoos so I could never look down on someone that has tattoo. I try not to make snap judgment on people.

I don't have a tattoo but I don't think if someone has a tattoo it will affect their working life. In my opinion if you are capable and skillful for job, having a tattoo doesn't matter.
