My dear mother of blessed memory was born in 1932, so she wasn’t of the generation you’d tag as liking rock music of the 70s and 80s. But she had me, and I liked rock music of the 70s and 80s! She said I kept her young, and I sure tried. Heaven knows I put enough wrinkles in her brow from worrying about me when I was in the Navy. We had the 45 of Johnn Rivers’ version of “Memphis” when I was a kid, so I think Mom liked him, too.
