When plans come to you aka. my low key vacation

I like it when plans come to me. Don't you? I didn't have any real plans for the weekend - something that usually makes me uneasy. I like having no plans during the weekdays, but weekends I like to be active or socializing, usually. Yesterday my friend texted me in the morning. Did I want to come over and join her and her grandkids (ages 9-5) for lunch and museum trip? Sure! I don't spend a lot of time with young folks and always enjoy lunch with my friend. Well, kids are different than I expected. They are at both times more behaved and more rambunctious than I had expected. I think the rambunctious is just the fact that kids for some reason have more energy then a lot of adults. But there is a line probably a fine one at that - between running and playing and getting energy out - and unacceptable behavior. Over all my friend did pretty good at keeping the kids in line. and we enjoyed our trip at the museum which included a display on the 70s which was super fun, along with all the local stuff like granite quarry info and info about the Pan car - a car which was made in the area in the 1920s. As I was about to leave my friend's place and wonder what I would be doing the rest of the day, I got a text from another good friend of mine. She does this once in a rare while -- Her parents and sister gamble at one of the casinos. We don't gamble, but we go up - use the casino's swimming pool, have a meal, and nice conversation and I really enjoy these outings. I don't like suggesting them to her - because I'm along as a guest and to suggest it feels rude. But I am happy when she offers. Today I have no plans, and no plans are coming to me, and it's fine as I do have a few small things to do today. How was your weekend?
