Since it is April Fool's Day today, I decided to share what my little niece had said about prank. It happened when she was 5 years old. I overheard her with my late father's youngest brother. To cut it short, it is her grandpa and he is pranking her on something. My smarty little niece said, "It's bad to prank someone." "That's bullying!" The world stopped between the two of them. His grandpa apologized. What can I say but to feel proud of my little Miss in the house. Thus, we cannot prank a child just easily. "Do you think it is good to prank kiddies?" "Do you think that adults should think before pranking a child?" Image Credit: gazettereview.com

Same as @Corbin5 I am not in favor of any kind of prank. You have a smart niece.

I think she is. This evil brother of my late father deserved to call his attention by a young girl.

@Shavkat I am so glad that the young girl was capable to stand up and make her voice listened.

@LadyDuck I always advised her to speak if she thinks it is not right.

My mother pranked me by saying she was getting fired from her job. I thought she was serious, but she wasn't. I told her that Lily (my cat) turned into an elephant. She didn't fall for it.

I guess she had a fun time pranking you. I can imagine how you reacted at that time. Lily must be a cute cat. How old is she?

I think she has a point there but I think that it has become part of our culture already. Although some are done mildly enough that it makes everyone happy and unaffected but for some I saw on online it is quite disturbing already when there is physical and at times painful pranks is really bad. I think that should not be encouraged.

@Shavkat Yes I think those light pranks are acceptable its part of us that at times we make fun of others but not to the point of humiliating the other person. For me, that is fine and acceptable.

I do think that my little niece sensed that it is not a good joke at that time. I am a joker in real life. But I see to it that it cannot hurt other people's feelings. Some people are beyond the boundaries in making fun of others. I had also seen some video clippings that it is not really appropriate.

@rsa101 I agree. It is a matter of being sensitive. It gives the sense of respecting others at the same time.

You have to be more careful with a child. It has to be something they can understand easily.

I agree. Kiddies are quite keen observant nowadays. It always makes or breaks a situation if done badly on them, either verbally or through action.
