You heard it right. Most of the people think that lemon helps weight lose if it is consumed on empty stomach. I am not saying it is false, but at the same time there will be problems for those who have acidity. So before making a habit of drinking lemon juice first in morning, you have to check up yourself how it works for you.
There is a solution for avoiding acidity of lemon, add a pinch of baking soda in it. However, I am not sure the safety of baking soda if we consume on regular basis.
It is better to have lemon juice in some other time in the day rather than having in empty stomach.
Do your drink lemon juice on daily basis?

@Sreekala Anyway I really do not know what is the truth now. I don't drink it anyway during mornings although I always have one at lunch time with some honey and water. The best way to know is really to test it with litmus paper to see if it is acidic or alkaline.
I am adding this link as a reference.

I don't drink citrus juice if my stomach is empty. I see to it that I have eaten first before sipping some juice.

I don't take any citrus fruits or lemon on empty stomach. I drink lime water in summer without sugar. But I drink it during daytime to keep myself hydrated.

I love lemonade, but I might drink it a few times a week. It is also helpful when having flu.

I take all new healthful advice with a large grain of salt and a lot of research on my own part. I also firmly believe that different people have different nutritional needs and different health issues which also impact which foods work and which don't.
Personally, I think most of us would be healthier if we would cut back on sugar and eat more natural foods. But that's my personal opinion.
