as of this past week, the world's first 5g cellular phone service was brought to users in Chicago and Minneapolis. The Korean Teleco released their 5g on Friday as the second live 5g cellular service in the world! Welcome to the brave new world. What would you do with more bandwidth on your phone that you likely have at home?

Well, to be honest, I do not even own a smart phone. I go online only with my computers. I have an old mobile for emergencies.

@DocAndersen Not heard of this here for the moment. It will take a lot of time before it comes to our little village.

@LadyDuck I would suspect 2-3 years for smaller locations in Europe.

The use of your bandwidth will be more wasteful, 4g just isn't the maximum speed. This is too fast in my opinion.

Korean telcos are conquering the world not with 3g, not with 4g, but with 5g. It must be a great experience having access to a 5g bandwidth.

But the Korean Telo was 2nd in the world, the largest US cellular carrier (Verizon) was the first 5g in the world!
