well,that didn't last very long.
they had been giving me estrogen patches to try to stop the hot flashes and ease other things..took them fine for months, then all of a sudden,i started rashing..and the hurt.
i thought maybe moving them around more would help..nope.just kept getting worse.
i do have latex sensitivity, but i didn't think these would trigger it.i've worn nicotine patches with no problem..
so,i had to call the doc and get a replacement.
now i got pills instead.*sigh* up to 3 meds daily now.
as you get older,it seems to climb.
tho i can't complain,my husband has 13 meds keeping him alive.
the messed up thing?
areas where i had a patch on are still reddish and itchy 3 weeks later.
now that's sensitivity.

@DianneN it's starting to clear but it's amazingly slow.

It's a good thing that you called the doctor about it, lest the rashes got worse.
I was on Hormone replacement theraphy, for 4 years or more after I have been operated on hysterectomy, at 38 years old. It kept my skin without wrinkles and didn't have hot flashes.
But when I withdrew from the HRT, my wrinkles appeared and I experienced hot flashes. Now, the hot flashes can still be triggered by the hot weather, but not much anymore.

i'm still having hot flashes on the pills.i guess they'll never truly calm down until it's done whenever that is.

@scarlet_woman Now that it is summer again, it is again surfacing. But I guess, it is natural because the weather here is so hot. Very humid.

My husband has an adhesive sensitivity; and his skin gets all red, swollen and itchy for a week or so. You won't have that problem anymore.

Sorry that you had this issue. I know for me once I get an allergic reaction to something it takes forever for it to look better too.

Sometimes aging is not a very fun thing to look forward to. I’m sorry you’re going through this, and I hope the pills work. Hang in there!

Oh no. Sorry about those rash areas. I've heard lavender oil can help skin concerns
