Rust be gone

Living in the wonderful state of Illinois they use a butt load of salt in the winter to help melt the snow and it eats the cars right up. Well the van we had and this hugh rust hole on the hole door and we thought we would fix it. It was an all day job and we still have some to go. It has primer on it for now and when we can find the right color we will paint it. So much cheaper doing it your self. Wish I got a better before picture but you can get the concept of it.

Good job on the car at least you'll save it from rusting through.

@Courtlynn the silver color that it is, it would be awesome to make it a different color but we don't have enough money for that.

Yeah true but the other two trucks we have don't have any rust on them, they came from Tennessee and it don't snow much down there.

I hate that rust. But you are so right... the salt destroys it!

I hate it also and if they didn't have to use so much salt it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe we will do an undercoat of something so it won't rust so much.
