Pub Sign Study The Streetbridge Inn Failsworth Manchester

I sometimes like words only signs as well as pictographic ones, This one, on the North Manchester and Oldham Tameside borders has a refreshingly honest approach to advertising, by admitting the pub has no claim to fame whatsoever.
To be fair, the bar probably has some fame that hasn’t yet been recorded. It is a relatively young bar, located as the name says on a street bridge (over a canal). Failsworth itself was a popular area among dialect poets.

I like the sign. Most people are attracted by good food and quality drinks. That's what counts when I go out.

It's location sounds lovely. That, in itself, could be the pub's fame!
