I fell in love with Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits in grade 8 and decided right then and there that I was going to marry a guy from England. Fast track to the early 70s, and I hear this song... I forgot all about Peter... and fell hard for this guy!! Did my tastes change or what lol!
And yes, I did get to marry that guy from England... long hair and all... I still remember dad's face the first time he met him haha But something clicked and we have been married since '76 I think that Dad would like him by now lol!
In my opinion... this is his best song!! Hard to believe we all get older. Rod has celebrated his 74th birthday... Good thing that our generation refuses to age!

Back then played his tunes over and over, his raspy voice just seemed to fit - nice songs. "Grow old" is in that song certainly an ageless one. :)
