A Letter Of Gratitude

Dear Mrs Adams:
I will be forever thankful for the lessons you taught me in R.O.P Childcare, the way you pushed me, a then shy highschool senior to come out of my shell!
You were by no means an “easy” teacher but you were always fairer and never demeaning and I think it says something about who you are as a person that Twenty Three Years later you remember my name, my last name and the schools I was assigned to, thank you for giving me my first opportunity to work with the severely handicapped and for paring me with Amy on that first project, I still consider her a dear friend, and she literally changed my life, because she led me to faith that year! I had been so hurt by my experiences in the Mormon Church by then! But that’s not something I care to get into, not here!
I went on to work in Children’s Ministry, because of you, and though lately my focus has been on my writing career, I take what I learned in your classroom and apply it to so many aspects of my life.
You hear often about teachers who do wrong, but Mrs Adams, as strict and as firm as you were, you were kind and compassionate as well, thank you for that!
Love in Christ
Michelle
