Palm Sunday

My husband and I went to church yesterday morning to attend the Palm Sunday Mass; the start of the week-long commemoration of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. We were not able to buy that palm frond, as we did the past years because we came late. The Priest had already blessed the palms carried by the churchgoers as they gathered in front of the church before the Mass. We would have to wait for another Mass to start the next hour, but we do not want to wait for so long. Anyway, it's just a symbolism of welcoming Jesus Christ as he entered Jerusalem. He was welcomed by the people like a King; then later they will denounce Him and had him nailed on the Cross at Mt. Calvary where he died. The Palm Sunday Mass was longer because the Priest and the layworkers dramatized the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. It was so solemn.

I forgot that it was Palm Sunday today. Anyway, I seldom go to church but I believe in God and pray at home and wherever I am.

It does not matter whether you are a Catholic or not, as long as you do good things for yourself and to others.

We went earlier, and we were able to buy one. The mass was realtively long indeed because it entails the passion of Christ which reads from Palm Sunday to his Crucifixion. It is the start of Holy Week again this week.

Yes, the Mass is long because of the reenactment of the Passion of Jesus Christ.

@acelawrites I do believe you don't have to go to church to be a Christian but not everyone believes that.
