Trivia on Easter

A parishioner came up to me one day and asked me why there is no fixed date for Easter and why the date varies every year. Luckily I still remembered this question in liturgy. The basis for establishing the date for Easter Sunday is the full moon. When Jesus resurrected from the dead, so the Bible says, it was full moon. The Church makes sure then that the celebration of Easter Sunday should fall on a full moon or closest to a full moon. Are you familiar with this Easter trivia?

To be precise, the Council of Nicaea established that Easter would be held every year on the first Sunday after the first Full Moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox.
