Just A Shy Guy...

blackbird hopping around taken just yesterday...

Just a shy guy I have him in the photo there and he is one slippery character to deal with trying to get him in the photo. I did throw him a few pieces of bread but being the guy he is he watches you intently but does not come too close up. But the pigeons took over and I was happy about that anyway. Was very lucky to get him here as they usually skulk away at the slightest movement you make. But he stayed his ground wanting to get closer but not trusting humans like they do at least here in Spain they stay away. In England its quite the opposite if you have a garden they are there alright and not that shy at all really in fact quite cheeky in a nice way and their song is heard from early dawn so you do not need a clock really to know what time it is. Over here the blackbird sings much later in the afternoon or maybe he won´t sing at all if he does not feel like it very laid back blackbirds here indeed.

It's interesting how they act in different locations. He won't even turn to look at you.

No, but he was watching me intently very much so. He was ready to fly off if I got any closer that was the message he was giving me like hey I am willing to stay here and let you take that photo but don´t come any closer.

@just4him Well I am glad also its not very often a Blackbird here will appear and stay right where you are they tend to skulk away from you which is only normal and hop low to the ground he did none of those.

I love sitting on my balcony early in the morning and listening to the birds waking up and singing.

@simone10 Its a nice time of the morning to be able to be still and just listen to it all. No phones, no nothing just for a while anyway.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Yes, I really enjoy it. Everyone hasn't woke up yet and its quiet outside except for the birds.

Very smart birds indeed. Thank you I could not imagine that it was going to come out so good as he is a very quick mover and did not make it too easy for me to get him in there.

@topffer Yes I know the Robin is one of the most difficult around here at least. The Robin here will take your bread you give him and buzz off never to come back except sneaking his way back through the bushes so you cannot see him and take another photo.

The blackbirds are the first to sing in the morning, they start to sing when it is still dark. I have several that come in our garden every day. I placed a bowl of water, so they can take their bath. I like those birds.

Oh yes they love to have a bath and I once saw one having a bath I did have a video of it but the computer blew up hence the video blew up with it. He was gorgeous to watch too.

@LadyDuck They probably could be how lucky to be able to see them in a Garden and so I am glad I took the photo while I did as they are not easy to spot on any given day of the week but you can hear them sing from a distance.

@lovinangelsinstead21 When we came to live here in 2006, there was one with a white feather on a wing. It always came to bath in the garden. Now I see a couple with a white feather, I wonder if they are descendant of that one.

I was keeping my distance you see too as they don´t like you to make them feel you are crowding them at all.
