This is my take on M.-L. @MALUSE challenge to write a parody using an English poem
(the original poem)
A REASONABLE AFFLICTION
Mathew Prior 1718
On his death-bed poor Lubin lies;
His spouse is in despair;
With frequent sobs, and mutual cries,
They both express their care.
"A different cause," says Parson Sly,
"The same effect may give:
Poor Lubin fears, that he shall die;
His wife, that he shall live."
(My parody)
A Reasonable Affliction
Under the public eye, AG Barr lies:
His Trumpish spouse is in despair,
with frequent cries of "no collusion"
they both connived behind the scene
"Tis a useless ploy" saith sly Mueller
when lady justice at last prevail
In Congress will Trump's goose be cooked
His wife Bill Barr, a legacy of shame

Nice Timely poem, definitely will be a legacy of shame, but for now looks like they gonna get away with it.

@crossbones27 _"Pride goes before a fall" Trump's arrogance will be his downfall. If the politicians do nothing then it's up to you voters to oust him from office.
