Free money: Universal Basic Income is Flawed

There seems to be a lot of talks about this system and it is flawed at its best. The reason being this system talks about distributing basic amount of money to the people. While the base price of the cost of living is continued to rise.
For example, say we are in america and govt decides to give 1000 USD free per user in america.
What happens in this case.
1. Cost of living and food will increases as you increase basic income price given to users.
2. Cost of taxes on the middle class and upper class increases.
3. People turn more and more lazy.
4. People get ignorant towards the outside forces trying to use their nation or the places for resources for increasing their population and dominate later.
5. Rise in crime because this system makes pretty much everyone lazy and careless, the old will be defenseless and the young would be paralyzed.
There are some countries which tried it, Venezuela and Norway. And it seems like people think it works there that means it would work in any country.
I find it purely flawed where the system does not consider crimes, mindset of hoarding and the social issues that differ in each country.
Socialist are selling utopia and kids are buying it. Then again you can't help it when people think left wing and liberal views will save their nation, religion and society.
What do you think?

In theory it is a good idea. Everybody gets a basic income, which replaces things like housing benefit, etc. If you want more money, you have to work. If you want to buy a house, you have to work. If you want luxuries, like holidays or the best technology, you have to work. If you lose your job, you have a period of grace because you will still be receiving the basic universal income which will go towards your bills and rent or mortgage. Those who are living below the poverty line currently, would increase their wealth {for want of a better word}. I don't think it would make people lazy; it wouldn't be enough money for that, however, there will always be lazy people who think the world owes them a favour and it's their children who will miss out, but they miss out anyway. I'm more inclined to think it would make people work harder to better themselves.

It should be on a case-to-case basis; those who should be given the aid and are very responsible citizens should get it; others would be lazy and wait for the aid/doleout! A very efficient monitoring of the recipients should be in place.

People don't think beyond the word "free" and don't considered the ramifications.

not for unemployed. the universal basic income is for all. it does not discriminate. it pays some specific amount for all. there are some economist organizations experimenting with this. where the money from rich and middle class will be given to poor. but that would only increase the crime in society

What would the actual price of this free money be? I suppose they want to hand over all the work to robots. Then we will not have to earn hence they came with this idea.
