For the last few days I have been battling pain from TMJ. What is TMJ you might ask. It is when your jaw joint pops out of place and causes unbelievable pain. In the image I used you will see the symptoms of TMJ. It is not pleasant. You feel like doing absolutely noting. The only good things is that I may just lose weight during this little battle. I'll stop whining now. I am trying to play catch up today and pare down my notifications. My day will be watching TV, pacing the floor, and trying to catch up here on myLot. I hope everyone here in myLotland is happy and healthy. Have a terrific day.

When I was about 13, I was swingin on one of the Tarzan swings Dad had put on one of the trees. The rope broke and when I fell, my jaw hit the picnic table and dislocated my jaw. Ever since then @HazySue , my jaw will pop out occasionally. Usually if I'm eating something.

It isn't pleasant for sure. My joint is disintegrating and they can do nothing about it so I have to live with it. Is it painful for you when it goes out of joint?

@HazySue Oh yeah. Especially when I bite down on food and it not only makes a snapping sound, but the pain shoots up the side of the head.

@HazySue I hope you are feeling better. I have TMJ too but so far, I've only had my ear hurt a little. That has only been one time over 10 years ago. I guess I'm lucky so far.

@simone10 You are lucky. A big part of my problem is that now my jaw joint is slowly disintegrating and they can do nothing about it.

It really can make you miserable. You can't eat, sleep or do anything without it affecting your jaw.

Tylenol and aspirin. For me it can be most anything, chewing something the wrong way, getting bumped, opening my mouth too wide.

@LadyDuck I am glad that he had the surgery and is no longer in pain. It is awful to have to go through that kind of pain.
