Bad Dinner

So last night my son and I decided to order in some pizza. Being new to the area we tried a place we have not tried before. We had a menu that we got in the mail, and it's suppose to be an "Italian Style Restaurant". Why not try it, the photos of the food on the menu looked good. We ordered a Deep Dish, half sausage, half pepperoni, an order of french fries and mozzarella sticks. They told us it was going to be about an hour to an hour and 20 minutes for delivery. Seemed a bit long but alright no problem, guess they were busy. They got there an hour and 3 minutes from the time I placed the call so that was good. Both the person who took my order and the driver were nice and friendly. Awesome. We opened the box to the pizza and I joked to my son that maybe they forgot what we ordered. The pizza somehow looked like a deep dish pizza on one half and a thin crust on the other. I have no idea how they managed to do that. It wasn't a big deal, I was just hungry at that time so I'll eat it all the same. I got a piece of pizza, a hand full of fries and a mozza stick. I tried a french fry and it was horrible, it tasted like they cook the fries right when I got off the phone and just left them in a warming box till the pizza was done cooking. I tried the mozza stick and it was the same way. They were just barely warm, I heated up the mozza stick in the microwave and it was a little better. The pizza was the final straw to this disappointing experience. Now I will give them that it did have lots of cheese on it which I like but the sauce was bad. It tasted to vinegary, I'm not sure that is how they mean to make it but it was BAD. I made it though one piece and I was done eating that. Over all the place SUCKED. So if your ever in the Wisconsin area and find yourself ordering from Tenuta's Italian Restaurant, well you have been warned.

I could have I guess, but instead I know never to give them my business again. Maybe the pizza was to suppose to taste like that? Sometimes I just chalk things up as a learning experience.

Thanks for the warning. That is a shame since most Italian restaurants make fairly good pizza. When we order food, we never get fries, since they don't seem to stay warm and crisp.
