Most often, I heard it; tomatoes are not good for those people who are suffering kidney stone. Even I had an impression that tomatoes can create kidney stone. Some people says that the seeds in the tomatoes form as stones in kidney. So it is good to remove the seeds before eating tomatoes. So far I have no such problem but whenever I cut tomatoes I always get a feelings that whether eating this will cause kidney stone. However, I just ignore that feeling and make my curry. Today I watched a video which is posted by a doctor. He explained people are used to believe tomatoes are the reason for kidney stone. He said, that is not right, some oxalate crystals are contained in tomatoes but this is found in leafy vegetables and other vegetables as well. Usually this content will get rejected by our body itself. When it troubles, if you do not drink enough water then it (this crystals) will form as a stone in kidney then create troubles. (If it forms then it will be sharp and cause much pain) So we have to make sure that drink enough water for our body. Then how much water we must drink on daily basis, according to this doctor, we have to pass out 2.5 Liters of urine per day. So we must drink water accordingly. To be very frank tomatoes are part of my daily food. It contains many vitamins and good for us actually. The only think we have to drink sufficient water every day. Do you like tomatoes?

It is true that one should drink water but some foods do cause kidney stones.
Find out what causes kidney stones. They're usually the result of a build-up of a substance such as calcium, ammonia or uric acid in the body.

They are saying if you have kidney stone then these foods may not be good for you as it help to create oxalate. Tomatoes and leafy vegetables (Spinach) also include this way. By cooking these oxalates may dilute in water, I mean the danger will be reduced.

People love to believe nonsense. You know why, when a person get into trouble with kidney stones, many doctors are advising them to avoid tomatoes and spinach. So people make their own guessing, the seeds are the culprits.

I don't know how this news spread this way. May be doctors suggested to avoid tomatoes if a person diagnosed with stones. The basic thing is, it won't cause any trouble if we drink enough water, which will help the body to clean it completely.

Drinking enough water prevents a lot of diseases because it prevents build up of toxins in our body. There are many types of kidney and gall bladder stones depending on what crystals were formed. I eat tomatoes but I won't say it's my favorite , I love tomato juice, sauce, paste , ketchup on my food and dishes prepared with them as main ingredient.
