Good day friends For days I look at TV about various religious revenge and wonder where this world is going. So many deaths of children, women .... Psychologists say that the feeling of revenge is a natural feeling, but it's just a difference in whether someone will manage to control it. Are you a vindictive person?

I don’t have a vengeful bone in my body. And then there is karma.

I find religious revenge, sad. Isn't that the opposite of what a lot of religions teach? I admit. I want revenge when someone has wronged me. But I find comfort in the saying of "the best revenge is a life well lived".

@Nevena83 I think those who do violence in the name of religion, sometimes, are looking for a noble cause to get people to agree with them. It's true, only God can judge us

Yes, you are right, this is the opposite of what our religion teaches, but people are referring to religion when they want to get revenge. Yes, I think we all want to return to someone when someone hurts us, but God is the one to judge.

Not really. But human emotions does enter life when unpleasant things happen to me in life. I don't seek revenge for I pray, "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord", and I go on and forgive, but if I have made a complaint about it to the police I'd not drop charges, but I'd forgive and not seek vengeance. You can get arrested if you seek vengeance, so it's just not worth the time and effort for vengeance at all.

Yes, revenge can ruin our own. The hatred we feel then can be very difficult. I think that God is the only one who can judge, but it is sometimes difficult to forgive.

Depending, as psychologists say, it's a natural feeling to us. Than, probably I am. But until now I had no reason

@Nevena83 Revenge will not solve the problem, that justice should be the intermediary for solving problems.

@May2k8 Yes, revenge will not solve the problem, but it will calm us down, because we will return the same measure to the one who hurt us, right?

@Nevena83 not really. Revenge is personal and you want to hurt the person that hurt you. Justice means payment for something they did.

If one has experienced downfall caused by some people, revenge is a normal reaction, but it is not a healthy reaction because it will have ill effect on one's self. One can become so obsessed at getting back to the extent that it may lead to self destruction,
