I didn't want to

Have you ever had plans and then wanted to cancel them? Most of the time this feeling comes about the night before, or the morning of. However, I woke up in the middle of the night and thought "I should just cancel." I haven't, and I'm not... Though I did think about doing so again once I woke up. I'm headed out the door here in just a bit so I need to finish getting ready. I am sure it will be better than I anticipate, but maybe not? We shall see. When was the last time you wanted to cancel something but didn't?

This is literally me, all...the...time. Most the time the situation goes a lot better even though I wanted to cancel, so at least there is that. Sometimes we just have to push ourselves and have the experience!

Sometimes I ahve real anxiety over something I've planned. I usually end up having a lot of fun, but I still get the anxiety.

@DesirousDreamer I get where I feel "drained" and have to just be away from people for a bit... Most of the time I can have a day out and not feel that way though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I get it immediately haha I was only out in public for an hour today and I got home and I was done. Of course this was also a doctor's appointment, but still.

I cancel the plans often when I can't get up from my sleep. Such a bad habit, I know

My plans weren't until mid day. I have cancelled or postponed things because I thought it was far too early.

@ShifaLk I wake up around 8:30 to 9 am. I will stay in bed if it's around 7 am, and I don't make plans for breakfast usually. I had a full day planned a few weeks ago and I did not want to get up, but I did.

I was nice and cozy, snug in my bed last night and that was part of it. It's not like the thing I am doing today was particular early either.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I follow through with commitments, but often regret that I agreed.

I have that feeling occasionally and I guess the last appointment I didn't cancel was the dentist.

I applaud you on not canceling the dentist. I am sure more people cancel their dental appointments than any other. Mine wasn't an appointment, but a date.

Usually when I have to go visit a doctor at the local clinic due to bad weather in the area.

That's a valid reason to cancel.

It depends upon what the plans involve. But I don't think I've ever cancelled plans. I only make plans if I know I'm going to stick with them. Social anxiety, coupled with introverted-ness, shyness, an intolerance of small talk and the desire to be alone in a fort of my own making make sure of that!

That is pretty much me, in a nutshell. I can do some small talk but eventually I get tired of it and think it's silly. I was going on a third date, and I'm glad I didn't cancel. Sometimes I have to push myself to do something, and I usually end up having more fun than I had first anticipated. It helped that there as a lot of times when it was just me and the date, not a lot of crowds to contend with.

I have someone pick me up for church every Sunday. Sometimes I think about calling him to say I don't want to go, but I don't. Most of the time when I think that, I end up having a good time.

I am glad that you refrain from calling him to cancel. I don't believe in religion, but I know it can be beneficial to those who do, and I can respect that.
