May 2 - What I Did Today

Normally I don't write about what I do because I do basically the same thing every day; and it could get boring...but today I did something a little different. My husband wanted me to go to the doctor with him in case I had to drive him home. He went to an orthopedic guy about pain in his wrists and thumb. Originally they were just going to give him a second shot in his one wrist; but they ended up giving him a shot in both wrists and the thumb. I've had these shots before; and the needle is quite long. I refuse to watch! He was OK though and could drive without a problem. Then we went out to dinner at Longhorn; and we had another disappointing dinner. I think the last one I talked about was Outback. It seems like the restaurants that we frequent (we usually go out to dinner once a month) are all going downhill. Only Texas Roadhouse seems to stay consistent. The ride was nice. The flowering trees are still flowering; and the leaves are at that pretty yellow-green stage as they grow. It was a nice, sunny day until late afternoon; and it was around 64-65. Just warm enough to go without a jacket which was nice! Now I'm catching up with MyLot and will probably do some writing before calling it a day. How was your day?

Ouch, the shots sound painful with such a long needle! Sorry that your dinner was disappointing....you except that the meal will be great since they charge so much! Glad the ride was nice, sounds like nice scenery :)

Sounds like that day was successful. A nice drive is one of my favorite things.

Sorry your meal was disappointing. I didn't do much today - the rain put a stop to my gardening.

Another bummer dinner? You are on a dining out losing streak.

Yes, we are. We keep eliminating restaurants.

Mine was good, I went through more books and bagged up the ones I didn’t want from my bookshelves and placed mote in there, this morning I vacuumed my living room, including under the sofa cushions, I had Littleisd for awhile and let her order a single, and a couple of 0.99 games because she’s been so good, but mostly I just rested and did a little reading! Its gotten to the point where I don’t go out to eat often due to lack of quality, the exception being Pinocchio’s!

Yeah, it's getting to be an upsetting trend. We do this about once a month; and it's not cheap...and then it's not good! The only place we can rely on is Texas Roadhouse; and we only go there every 3 months when I have my doctor's appt. out there. It's about 30-40 minutes away. Sounds like you had a pretty full day.
