Anything strange about recent world events?

Today I saw Prince Charles on the news talking about Christianity disappearing in some parts of the Earth.
Recently we have also seen incidents of attacks on Mosques, churches and synagogues.
The weather seems to be crazier than usual.
Just now I saw that Ebola and measles have each killed about 1000 people in the DR Congo.
Is there anything strange about recent world events or do you think it's business as usual?
Do you see a connection between recent world events and Bible prophecies or predictions?
What do you think? Should we be concerned about recent world events?

Luke 21:11; 31 Amplified Bible (AMP) 11 There will be violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and [deadly and devastating] pestilences (plagues, epidemics); and there will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven. 31 So you too, when you see these things happening, know [without any doubt] that the kingdom of God is near.

@just4him While we won't be able to figure out the day and the hour. It seems evident that we are not too far. Jesus said to keep on the watch and so we will continue to do that. It is no time to fall asleep spiritually. (Luke 21:34-36)

Its okay, I am saved and if the world ends I will go home to heaven.
No, these things have always been and always will be. Even back B.C the people were fighting, still are.

Yes, but one would have thought that by now we could get our act together.

@sugartoes So true! Jesus told us that it would be like in the days of Noah and most people won't get it. They will not realize what is happening until it is too late.
Matthew 24:36-39 (Easy-to-Read Version) 36 “No one knows when that day or time will be. The Son and the angels in heaven don’t know when it will be. Only the Father knows. 37 “When the Son of Man comes, it will be the same as what happened during Noah’s time. 38 In those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving their children to be married right up to the day Noah entered the boat. 39 They knew nothing about what was happening until the flood came and destroyed them all. “It will be the same when the Son of Man comes.

@sugartoes Jesus said that some would believe and that most wont. There is the wide road and the narrow road.

We can see that the prophecies in the Bible are being fulfilled in front of our eyes.. God's Kingdom is coming very soon, just like Jesus told..

You know life is hard enough as it is. I am all alone and I satisfy myself with my writing online. I pray and I have my faith. It is terrible these things are happening but what will be will be. I need to keep myself together so I can go on in life and not get panicky.

I think that Jesus gave us those signs, not to make us panic, but to give us encouragement as we discern that his kingdom is getting nearer.

Nope I do not think there is a connection. It is the cycle of mother earth and nature taking its toll. Sadly the earth is inhabited by some wicked evil people.

Do you think that we have nothing to do with the ruination of the Earth and all the blame goes to mother nature?

I am not looking for arguments but an exchange of information and views even if they are different.

Well we have been told that there would be wars and rumors of war, plagues and pestulents and that the world would get continuously more wicked as the 2nd Coming of Christ approaches. We're just learning what that all looks like.

The ruination of the earth's ecosystems which will lead to more and more freaky weather is definitely one of the important signs.
The Bible says that in Noah's day just before the flood that the earth was ruined and that earth was filled with violence. (Genesis 6:11)

Yes but if we listened to Him we can make life better for all of us.

It is an interesting premise. I really don't know, perhaps. I would guess it depends on whether you take everything predicted in the Bible literally. I just don't have a definitive answer to your question.

Concerning news around the world, we all need to reflect and take action. Not doing bad things but the good ones.

Isn't it sad to see such horrible things taking place when we could work together and help one another.

@1hopefulman Yes it is. Don't know why we all haven't taken action yet, maybe laziness, or maybe that it isn't happening to us so we don't care? Maybe it is that.
