For the first time ever, the first place winner in the Kentucky Derby was disqualified. Maximum Security came in first but after a tense 20 minute review he was disqualified for impeding another horse. Country House, a 65-1 odds horse, was awarded first place. There are a lot of shocked people and also some very happy people who betted on Country House.
I didn’t have any bets but I always like to watch for fun.

Hey cannot beat that, I won a million bucks, but did not win the two cups of coffee, though. I am so disappointed.

@NJChicaa Nice, my motto is only buying one more lotto ticket. If I do not win, never playing again. Doing a good job so far, waiting for the day when I have nothing else to lose. Hopefully that day never comes. Have not played lotto in 10 years. So if day never comes, may just randomly say screw it and purchase one. Funny thing is that will probably be the day when I actually needed it. Life sucks.

When I lived in NYC I would go to Belmont Racetrack where I could also bet on the Kentucky Derby. I miss watching the horses race. One time at Bellmont there was a race where a long shot came in unexpectedly and for placing the right two horses I got an easy $200 and I remember falling to my knees. If I had had the chance to guess and win the Kentucky Derby I would have probably fainted because that sure was big money.

Wow sounds like a good one, and I have to say I did not even know I liked horse racing that much but really do need a champion. It is bit hard to root for when they have a bunch of no name horses most people never heard.
I also love that name, thought damn, race must have went sideways and they had to call in the maximum security to deal with situation.

It’s actually the second time (1968 was the first), but the first time due to an on-track incident. Dancer’s Image crossed the finish line first in 1968 But was found to have a banned substance in his system, so Forward Pass was declared the winner.
