Society has gotten to the point that I want to go live in a cave somewhere in the mountains. People can't get out of their car and walk into a store, restaurant, etc., because of drive-thru windows.
I guess all across the US, people no longer feel it is necessary to WALK their dogs. What are they doing? Getting behind the wheel of their car with the dogs leash hanging out of the window and DRIVING....... IN TOWN ON MAJOR STREETS!!!!!!
Are you kidding me? Oh and the idiots are probably talking on their cell phones while doing it.

I don't mind people doing drive-thrus as that's been a thing for so many years, or pick ups of groceries, that's nothing.
But really, this is a thing? That's ridiculous. And probably not at all safe for the dogs.

Exactly @Courtlynn . A dog could easily get killed because of all the dingbat drivers today.

Had to make an ER trip Sunday night. My right shoulder muscle looked like a body-builders. I couldn't even turn my head to the right or down towards my chest. The pain was horrible. The doc said I was having some kind of muscle spasms. They gave me a shot and some pills and sent me home. He said don't lift anything heavy. I said, "Well, I have a 40-lb bag of cat food in the front seat of the car; you gonna unload it for me?"

Maybe some of them feel lazy, some others are so tired of their routines that their energy left they save it for something else. However I say you got a point, people should get out of their cars, appreciate what's around them.

That is crazy and sad. That being said, when my dad could no longer walk or walk his dog, he trained him to walk with a mobility scooter. The dog would go get a leash and loved to run along with the scooter following. I have seen people here do it as well.

That's pretty cool @GardenGerty . At least your Dad had a good reason for it. And a mobility scooter is a heck of a lot different than an SUV or pickup truck.

If one can't walk a dog then they should not have a dog.

For a fast food restaurant; you pull up to the menu and vocally give your order. Then you drive up to the window to pick up the food and pay for it @garymarsh6 .

I have a fenced in backyard for my dogs but I do walk them in the fields with me.
I am so HAPPY to have a drive thur, since Tony is suffering in the last stages of lung cancer he cannot walk into a place to get food, or medication, he is just about helpless. I use them because I cannot leave him for a long time to go walk the stores and wait in those lines. So for some a drive thur is a God send.

Well that is very true; there are 'some' cases where it is absolutely necessary @andriaperry .
