I have always wondered what went through the mind of the owner of a cat who was trapped on top of a tree for seven days by naming his cat "Chicken."?
Bear in mind that the cat had suffered from a mental illness when he was a kitten which may have contributed to his action of getting trapped on top of a tree.
The owner of Chicken had called the Logan County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) to try to rescue Chicken who was scared being trapped on a tree.
When the deputies were not able to rescue the cat, they called the local firefighters to attempt to rescue the cat.
When the firefighters were not able to rescue the cat, the deputies called a local tree service to rescue the cat.
The tree service employee used a bucket truck to rescue Chicken who was reunited with its owner after spending one week away from home.

Considering the problems Chicken has his owner should never let him out of the house.

Chicken reminds me of Burt who is the youngest cat in the home who likes to take walks outside the home when I least expect him to run outside when he sees a door open. Burt does come back after a quick run around the homes in the area.

I know what you mean since you would think that someone would have called the authorities sooner than seven days.

@Deepizzaguy exactly! Or at least try harder to get him down myself. But if that's not possible, then call the authorities asap

First of all; how did the cat get out of the house? And seriously on the firefighters? What; their ladder wasn't high enough? @Deepizzaguy .

I know what you mean since cats do not have the stamina not to eat and drink for a few days.

That is true since it took a tree service company to rescue the cat.

I am so sorry someone rescued the cat. My cat was outside all day and night and I was very worried and could not get her and take her home. I had to call the police. I did not sleep. I was up talking to her. I do know how that owner felt. I was so happy that the police came and helped me get her back. I felt so helpless.
