Cold Water

So last month I went three weeks without hot water. It was solely freezing water. Cold showers are painful, but with arthritis it is worse. Finally, they fixed it. However, a week after it was fixed the hot water once again, quit. This time the maintenance man got behind my fridge for an hour. Then fixed, I got a hot shower! The next day I run my dishwasher, and my kitchen floods (water coming from behind my fridge). And, yet again, the hot water went out.
Now, I don't care about the hot water at all. I just want the unqualified maintenance guy to fix the flooding issue and then leave me be. I don't even care about the water because I am weary of this constant frustration. Just don't flood me. There have been more issues with my living situation, but I'll pass on sharing every little thing

Yikes, that is a lot to put up with. Is there anyway you could move?

@AmbiePam I would think so. Maybe you could check with a lawyer who deals with landlord tenant relations..or legal aid could help out.

Those are rough conditions in which to live under.
Can you report these issues up higher without any negative consequences?
Here there is a landlord tenant act that allows both tenants as well as landlords the right to seek better direction to getting tasks done and for rights and responsibilities. Even if you contacted a member of your city council, would they be able to help you?

What a headache that is to deal with. Nothing ever gets fixed right.

Ugh what pain in the neck when things aren't completely fixed, right? That's how I would call the fix man, an unquialified one. What about changing him?

@AmbiePam That is really bad not only for the customers who get a bad service, but also the workers who would earn low pay. In my opinion the fix man should get more knowledge so he could either earn more, or do their job right!

I'm so sorry you have been having these water issues. I hope that guy fixes this and does it right! My neighbor just had a kitchen flood caused by her old dishwasher too . . . there was some big dryer machine that was buzzing next door for a few days to dry out the kitchen from underneath the house.1 person likes this

That just isn't right, they need to fix this issue once and for all, you do have rights as a tenant.

Yikes! So sorry about it all, but especially the flooding. I don't think one of our maintenance guys is qualified either. He never fixes things right
