Today breakfast, I made something different

I am always on search of special items for breakfast, the reason, to make my son happy in school. If he likes then he eats the same completely in school. In winter season, sending chappati everyday makes no difference, he likes it but in summer, they are not fond of chappati. So what I made, grated potatoes, rinse in cold water then drained the water completely, added wheat flour, egg, pepper powder, Chilly flakes, salt, mixed it well then shallow fry the same pouring the dough on fry pan. It turned very well and he becomes so happy. At the same time he told me he is not sure whether he gets the same to eat in school. If his class mates find it then they will eat it completely. Often he made complaint this way, he never get his Tiffin in school. So asking me, don’t send me tasty foods. I only laugh on his comment. On food what we can do especially with small children. Let them eat and enjoy. What is your breakfast/dinner, and how is your day/night

today I eat vegbiryani with curd in breakfast. In lunch potato vegetable and curd with some Bikaneri Bhujia

@Sreekala It is common here, We cook many time it. Tried it, it is healthy breakfast and easy and fast to cook.

I know it was also yummy. Potatoes were good and it is safe for every one as we grate then rinse and drain in cold water. The starch go away.

I didn't have much of a bad experience in school (maybe a few times only) , but I remember sharing food with friends. Friends were mostly nice, although I rarely used to bring anything fancy in my tiffin.

When I was a school child, we used to share the curry in lunch. It was a nice experience. Here in my son's school, they won't think if they like the food. Here comes the problem.

You know, Indians especially South Indians works a lot for preparing breakfast. If it is dos/idly the works will start prior to the day. One day before morning we have to put rice and grams for soaking then at evening time grinding then keeping for fermentation almost 12 hours. The next day morning the dough is ready for making. Just imagine...

Break and egg I rarely make it. I choose this when I am lazy to make anything. It is an easy thing.
