Today I had an eye doctor's appointment; and it's the one that I hate that happens once a year (I have to go every 6 months). I have to have a field of vision test; and then 2 other tests, then read the eye chart, then I get my pupils dilated. Took 1-/2 hours. What a pain.
Then we went out to eat at Panda Express. The food was meh. I swear we're running out of places to go. None of them are consistent. Even Red Lobster which isn't cheap is getting to be so-so.
We go out to eat about once a month; and I'd like to think that we get our money's worth...but not lately.
THEN, we come home and the house alarm is blaring. Turns out it's the same area that has gone off 4 other times. One time when I was home alone sleeping.
Just about gave me a heart attack..So I think it might be a bad sensor. The police came while we were gone and checked it out OK.
Anyone go out to eat lately? How was it? Where did you go?

My mom and I used to love going out to eat way back when we lived in NYC. Now I have not been out to eat in ages. I am thinking of trying a seafood restaurant nearby but I know I will check the prices out online first. Hope you get your alarm system fixed.

I hate those filed vision tests. The first one I had wasn't too bad and the dr. was impressed that I did so well. The last two I had were a bit boring to me and I just wanted to get it done and out of there. I hope my dr. doesn't want me to do another one this year. I am due to go in for a checkup and new glasses prescription.
Last time we went out to eat we went to the Golden Corral. It was pretty good for a buffet style place. I like to go during the week vs. on weekends. It's cheaper and way less crowded.

@LindaOHio It is one of the few places to eat in our neighboring town. Our little town has a Subway, local drive in and Miss K's, another local diner. You can get a plate lunch at one of the gas stations and fried chicken at another gas station. El Dorado should be opening soon but if it is no better than the meal we had recently, it will not make it here for long.

My husband loves the Golden Corral. When he goes on the West Side of Cleveland he goes there. That's the closest one. It's about an hour or more away.

@kareng We have tons of places to eat within a 20-minute drive; but they aren't very good!

We go out to eat frequently, but usually don't choose chains except Ruth's Chris or Capitol Grill. Even those steakhouses aren't up to par anymore.
We had the same problem with our alarm, but it was a loose connection and easily repaired.

Well, I hope that they can fix it because that evening when I had fallen asleep was horrific. I woke up to the sound of the alarm at 8:15 pm...and I thought someone was in the house. It was awful; and then it took the sheriff 35 minutes to get here.

Sorry to hear about the eye doctor. I agree they can be a pain!
That's not good to hear about Panda Express too. I've never been there so not sure what to expect. Hopefully next time you go somewhere that is not just so-so or meh!

Everything checked out OK at the eye doctor. It just takes so long. Yeah, I'm tired of meh meals.

@LindaOHio That's good to hear about the eye doctor! I hear you about the time it takes though.
I would be tired of meh meals as well....we've had some that haven't been horrible, but nothing to be excited about either.
